Hello Readers,
A couple weeks ago, it was results day for students doing A-levels. On the actual day, I wasn't so nervous, because I had some positive thoughts and I knew I worked hard enough to get what I hoped for so I was slightly more excited than anxious. Unfortunately, I didn't get the best grades, in fact I was actually in shock for a good 10 mins, whilst my teacher was talking to me.
What confused me the most was that I actually worked my butt off, and tried very hard to understand everything I learnt. But, it seems like it wasn't good enough.
Luckily I wasn't at a dead end, and I think that's what helped me stay positive. Starting from September, I'm retaking two subjects and carrying on with them, dropping one subject, and carrying with one subject. It's probably going to be the most intense year of my life, but I really do want to come out with flying colours, and I especially want to get into a good University.
I also want to say that it's important that you're in a good environment. Sometimes you don't realise it, but the negative thoughts that come up in your head are probably the cause of a friend of yours that had nothing good to say. A messy room can distract you and frustrate you. One minute you put something down, the next minute you can't find what you just put down, cause your place is too busy. Also if you have Tumblr, stay off or give yourself 15 mins a day, I know it's hard but Tumblr is the biggest cause of procrastination- I confess, it almost made me not want to study, and that's not the way we want to go.
I don't want to talk for too long, but I just want to wish everyone good luck on their studies, and remember that at the end of the day, the letters on a piece of paper doesn't define you. It just gets you from one place to another.
Ps, good luck to anyone doing Physics in Year 12/13.
