Hello Guys, Here's something that has been on my mind...
Trouble with appearance is something that I'm sure everyone has faced. Even the people you think are the most beautiful people ever have their flaws and insecurities.
I didn't really use to have an issue with my appearance when I was younger. There was two main reasons for that. One: I had accepted that I was not the most beautiful girl and that there was nothing special about me and Two: I kept telling myself, I will get prettier when I'm older. So my flaws didn't bother me. In fact, I didn't really take notice of my appearance. Years later, I started changing, and when I got to year 9, I started to be really uncomfortable with the way I looked. Two main reasons: one- I was surrounded with people that all looked...'better' than I did, and they wore make-up, and they had nice-r hair, nice-r bodies and that was very intimidating. Two- I started to really look at myself and realized things like my 'over-sized' nose, my 'messed-up' eyebrows ect and I was comparing myself to others and that made me really self-conscious.
The difference between now and then, is that I feel so much better about myself. I mean, I have my days where I might feel down, but I have learnt to just embrace what I have and live with it.
I didn't choose to look the way I do, You didn't choose to look the way you do.
People are meant to look different, bigger nose, smaller nose, big eyes, small eyes, big lips, small lips - if we all looked the same, what is the whole point of living. There is no perfect image of what a person should look like, and there never will be. There will be an image that will be socially acceptable. But you have to understand that you don't live for society, but you live for yourself. So whatever society says about how someone should look like, it doesn't matter. It's their opinion. You have what you have, and you need to learn to embrace it.
When looking at yourself, focus on the positives or find away to love what you don't love.
But you also need to remember that their are what make you, you. And you are a unique masterpiece.
Don't try to look like everyone else, try and be original.
But then again, we've all heard this before haven't we?

Thank you for reading, apologies if it's a bit all over the place, I wrote it quite spontaneously.
Until next time,
Stay Blessed
